Lake Champlain is 120 miles long, 10 miles wide and approximately 390 plus feet deep. With excellent fishing along the scenic New York and Vermont shores. The western shore offers the beautifully scenic Adirondack Mountains and extraordinary sunsets. To the east, the Vermont Green Mountains offer us a gorgeous sunrise. The most common species of Lake Champlain are: Atlantic Salmon, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Walleye, Northern Pike, plus our world renowned trophy Large and Small Mouth Bass. The Lake Trout's average weight is approximately 3-6 lbs. The Atlantic Salmons average is around 2-4 lbs. The Walleyes average from 3-5 lbs. Northern Pike range from 3-5 lbs. Bass usually come in with an average weight of 2-4 lbs. On any given day it is not uncommon to catch fish that exceed the average.

* Captain Randy recommends the Vermont fishing license because it allows the right to fish on the NY territory as well. The NY license restricts access to certain VT territories. Feel free to consult with the captain for the best choice on your adventure.

Terms and Conditions: A $100 deposit is required to hold your desired fishing date. The deposit will be applied to the total fee for the trip and should be paid prior to boarding. In the event of a cancellation, a full deposit refund will be granted if we are notified 10 days prior to the scheduled fishing date, minus a 6% paypal transactional fee. Any request to depart from a different port besides the home port Monty's Bay Marina-West Chazy, NY) will incur a minimum $50 fee depending on proximity and travel time.
The Captain retains the right to cancel any charter due to unsafe weather conditions or any other circumstances beyond his control. The deposit can be applied to secure another available charter date.
There is a ZERO-TOLERANCE ILLEGAL DRUG policy on board either charter vessel. (Beer is not illegal for those over age 21). Failure to comply with this policy will terminate the trip and all funds paid. Thank you for your cooperation. A fishing license is required before your trip departs. When fishing Lake Champlain, a "reciprocal license" allows fishing in either States waters. Vermont offers a large area of productive Salmon, Bass and Pike. The "Sharon Kay" is a 24ft vessel powered by a 225HP inboard V6. This vessel is the workhorse of the operation best suited for deep water fishing pursuits. Equipped with 4 Captains Pak Walker Electric Downriggers and a dual planer board system. The onboard electronics are: Walker Duo Sense Temperature at the weight, Garmin 250c fish finder, Garmin 546s GPS / Sonar, Uniden 525 VHF Radio. It's also equipped with a Porta-potti in the cuddy cabin. For your comfort on the harsh weather days we have the hard top and removeable clear drop curtains preventing rain intrusion.

Cayman specs 24.6’ long 9’ beam bay boat equipped with a 36 volt minn Kota rip tide trolling motor. 6” jack plate for skinny water conditions powered by a Yamaha SHO 250 hp motor. Yamaha digital gauges , electronics. A Garmin 10” touch screen. A uniden marine radio, also a 10’ power pole shallow water anchor.
Also equipped with a porta potti when needed. 3 30 gallon live / bait wells. A 10 gallon freshwater wash down. Also has raw water wash down.
